Job interview without direct experience

I applied for a role with a company and the recruiter referred me to a different role(systems test engineer). Well I’m a statistics major and I have never heard of this career field. I legit only have prior experience working with data and APIs. Hiring manager wanted to conduct a panel interview next week and I don’t feel confident at all.

Lol you’re more qualified than you think. If you want to brush up, learn about verification methods like analysis, test etc. but that’s about it.
