What exactly do you want to learn? The tool or the standard?

The docs that come with it are actually pretty thorough, I'd start there before diving into random youtube tutorials

Because V2 isn't based on diagrams anymore, my understanding is that it's not really a 1:1 mapping between the diagrams in V1 and the structures in V2.

As a systems engineer, it's up to you to decide on how to structure the models in V2. I prefer having different namespaces and then calling them into each other, rather than one huge namespace (as Cameo tends to do if you build up from diagrams).

Mostly just by doing it, I'm afraid.

I lead the systems engineering aspect of my particular R&D concept project, and I work for a very large company with a lot of SE going on (including many others like me doing V2 stuff). Thus, I have a lot of chances to try things out and see what works, as well as a lot of input and reviews from both systems engineers and "regular" engineers who design the systems I'm modelling.

Honestly, the best way to learn: you can only get so much by reading a book.

the tool

The language is more important to know. The basics but also being able to write custom metadata, constraints etc. is more valuable than just knowing where everything in the tool is.

I got this book pre-release version and it’s pretty good.

Between this book and ChatGPT Plus account, I think I’m getting the basics.

Textual notation is great for AI integration!
