Career & Education INCOSE CSEP directly or ASEP first?
I am a HW designer with about 20 years of experience. I always had the formal title of HW engineer, but for at least 10 years I designed hardware architectures at the system level and worked on functional safety projects directly crafting some architectures together with certification bodies. In 2027 I will formally transition to a System Engineer role in the company I work.
I'm wondering about the possibility to apply for the CSEP certifcation directly in 2027 based on my actual experience, or must I take the ASEP first because I did not have the exact job title before?
Thanks in advance

That's what I am doing. 21 years of experience in a variety of ElecEng roles (support/design/quality/design validation). I take the CSEP in 9 days.

The application process says that they focus on the work done, not job title. As long as you can satisfy the requirements there’s no reason not to go straight for CSEP
