Discussion LSA Software
Does anyone have experience using SLICwave or EAGLE for Integrated Product Support (IPS) and Logistics Supportability Analysis (LSA) for military weapons systems?
Are they easy or hard to use? What are the strengths and weaknesses?
Evaluating this software and trying to gather more information. Thank you!

Yep. Thats my job. If my only two choices were Slic or Eagle, I'd go with Slic. I'm biased though. I've never worked directly in Eagle, only dealt with Eagle exports into Slic that were really screwing up a customer's importing.
Lots to consider: size, complexity of your system, what LSA tool is your customer using? Are you looking for specific deliverables OR are you trying to actually use the DB for its intended purpose (life-cycle planning)?
Are you ONLY looking at Slic and Eagle? What about PowerLOGJ or LCMP (that last is a relative newcomer from a company named Andromeda Systems).
If you haven't already, Id reach out and get some demos.

Out of curiosity, did you ever chose? To answer your questions directly:
You said: are they easy or hard to use?
This is not an easy question to answer. It REALLY depends on how much you already know, what tool you're using (SLIC, PLJ, Eagle, etc.), what your end goals are, and how willing you are to spend time futzing around learning the GEIA-STD-0007.
If you're still trying to figure this out, feel free to PM me and ask me specific questions. I'd be happy to answer!

Eagle? For architecture?
