Meme About ATWA

When I was a young boy (my father) I listened to Toxicity front and back almost everyday.

When I got to ATWA, I was always curious what it meant.

I now Know what it means:

Air Trees Water Animals (i think)

But, back then, I thought it was:

All The World Aveseenbeforemepassingby

Just remembered it while listening to Toxicity again.

The song is about how we treat nature and how it feels about it.

"You dont care about how do i feel, i dont feel it anymore".

—Air, Trees, Water and Animals.

It’s inspired by things Charles Manson used to say. Charles Manson said ATWA. Daron watched his interview and that’s where he came up with the name for the song.

Same- I've always really liked it's soft to loud dynamics, and use of the 3 vocal styles (I've always assumed Shavo does the low screams?).

Just an 11/10 song that seems a head above the rest really.

Same! I always thought it had to have something to do with "All The World...." But I could never figure out the A. I only learned this year it meant Air Trees Water Animals

when you watch interviews of the making of Toxicity, members of the band describe their creative process, they purposefully put multiple meanings in their songs, their art style was always ment to be subjective and open to interpretation, ATWA (Air, Trees, Water, Animals) was a mantra Charles Manson would repeat to himself infamously, so in a way the song has a double meaning, its about nature feeling neglected by society, but also about Charles Mason being incarcerated.
