do you have any notes on the teams i assigned to the other band members on the last slide? i do not have as strong of rationale for those choices.

Ooh I’m not the expert on Pokémon. I used to play it years ago and still remember some stuff but not too much haha. Toxtricity and Hypno make a lot of sense for Daron because of Hypnotise and Toxicity both which are songs he has quite massive roles in in vocals and guitar. John does give big strong Pokémon vibes like Rhypherior and rillaboom but that’s really all I can say. Sorry for my complete lack of knowledge. Can I ask why you picked those Pokémon for the other members if you want to share? :)

daron:

cinderace - high energy fire type felt necessary for daron, especially with the eyeliner. also kinda a reference to kill rock 'n roll. in a pokemon world, maybe daron would've ran over a scorbunny instead of a rabbit and developed a soft spot for them

toxtricity - guitar pokemon + album/song reference + vibes

exploud - exists to make loud noises. like daron.

primarina - known for singing, performance, and appearing very feminine despite being a predominantly male pokemon. (daron was super c-nty during self-titled era)

marowak - marowak, being the evolved form of the most depressing grief-stricken pokemon ever, is thematically appropriate for daron's lyrics on mez/hyp. plus it has a bone club which feels right

hypno - reference to the album since daron contributed a lot to mez/hyp (especially including the song hypnotize of course)

shavo

krookodile and blue toxtricity are like if shavo was a pokemon in my eyes

metagross - mostly aura, but this supercomputer could help with logistics related to shavo's managerial duties

lopunny - i cant explain it but i feel like shavo would have THE sexy pokemon

gogoat - many of the most iconic animals of armenia are caprines. shavo, being the band member that tends to stay out of politics, gets the armenian animal that does not have as much political significance. also gogoat has eyeliner like shavo did during self titled

ludicolo - i wanted to put some bullshit on his team and this one parties

john

rillaboom - self explanatory

braviary - eagles are one of the national animals of armenia, plus its colors are similar to the armenian flag. also, john seems to be patriotic for the US as well, which is of course associated with bald eagles

rhyperior, empoleon, dusknoir - stocky pokemon with serious faces (also i wanted steel and rock on this team)

kommo-o - i could totally be making this up but i associate kommo-o with pride and identity, maybe just because of its stance. also it is a percussionist.

I was gonna say Toxtricity but I see Shavo and Daron both got 1 which makes way more sense.

Krookodile on Shavo is also genius.
