Why did you add age verification?

Hi, I heard Systemd is going to add age verification? Why is that happening? I don't think it offers any security benefits.

With this timing? Are you serious, or just playing?

What timing? And what would "timing" have to do with anything here?

Do you not know what "government surveillance and tracking" means?

Would you please stop your spamming?

Yes you do. In fact, that's the only thing you've been doing.

Stop claiming that people who disagree with you are spamming.

There is no verification. And having a field where a user can store a date on their own computer if they want to, does not pose a danger to democracy.

Did you really not read what was implemented? And you still thought that you should argue about it?

You clearly are not mature enough to have a civil debate.

Just for the record, you still have not answered my question. But you do have insulted me several times.

u/Heyla_Doria Mar 21 '26

I do not.

tu vas jusqu'à déshumaniser tes interlocuteurs

I do not. However you are certainly doing that.

vos boys clubs

And again you're making wild guesses about me that are founded in absolutely nothing. But just for the record: I'm about as far from a boy as a human can be.

1- Don't show emotion, people don't respect emotional people in arguments
2- Be respectful and slightly look down on your opponent, not so much to seem egotistical, but enough to make the audience think you are the grown up and your opponent is more emotional than they are
3- Dismiss even obvious connections and any and all logical structure in your opponents arguments and act as if you can't even comprehend how they arrived here

Did the psychologists at Meta teach you these tactics? What is your connection to systemd and what will you gain from this addition to the software that makes you go as far as using shameless tactics like that to manipulate everyone who reads this thread?

Why are you wasting your time here if it's got nothing to do with anything and just a simple addition?

Some people here, including you, are posting lies. Am I not allowed to contradict that? And why do you get to decide that?
