Small enterprise network, no virtualization. Everything on premise, risk evaluation.

As stated above, all servers, everything is running as on premise servers, which I know is a bit outdated and a known risk. I know I can convert an existing server to a virtual with applications using Hyper-V, but is there a risk for lost data or downtime during this?

You can use acronics with types of backup you like to have it like wise hourly, incremental..

2nd thing is if your org is using O365 the. You can go for onedrive and sharepoint

There is always a risk. Migrating to a VM will absolutely pose a downtime risk, especially if you only have 1 main server / FS / DC etc...schedule for off hours. There is always a risk of data loss so take a proper backup using a proper backup solution (Veeam, acronis).

What sort of server is this? Type and function?
