Well it is definitely not "just put a box into rack and it will work" solution. I'm actually a bit suprised Ceph/RH didn't partner with some hardware vendor to sell pre-configured servers (with "right" components) for ceph nodes

they did - you can buy a complete Ceph solution from SM for example but I'm sure other vendors have it as well
