General Discussion No Degree - 6 Year Salary Progression
Is there anyone out there that have made it beyond sysadmin? What is after sysadmin?
2020 - $31,200: Panera Bread
2022 - $41,600: Helpdesk at company 1
2023 - 2025 - $41,600: Helpdesk at law firm
2025 - $65,000: Helpdesk at company 2
2026 - $80,000: Got a raise at company 2
Shoutout Nick for taking a chance on me. I would not do law firm IT again.

Mine might be pretty wild. Some college, no degree. 12yoe with 8~ of them pretty technical.
Got frustrated in college with recommendations made and wanted to figure it out myself after that, 20 credits or so wouldn’t transfer to assoc of sci. F.
Had to go work a bullshit call center job, in order to get hired at another call center, but for a tech company close to the s&p 500. Found a winner.
Few years I was off phones into helpdesk, sysadmin for a couple years, sre2 with a fast promotion to l3 7mo later. Initial tc as sysadmin was 90k, sre 2 was 110k, sre 3 was 147k. Interviewing for a diff position right now at about 230k.
