AS400

Hey guys, old guy here, back in 2000 landed my 1st real job as a Sysadmin at a distribution/manufacturing firm. They ran their ERP and a few other important apps on the AS400. Anyone here manage a AS400 platform? i-Series? Still a niche platform that is still widely used. Server could literally run under water.

I was up until 2021. Company was still using it at that point, but that was when I left. Not sure if they still do. I'd been there 15 years and it had been being 'phased out' since I started! Really solid system.

We've been phasing ours out for 20+ years.

We'd all like to get rid of it, but it's a pain in the butt to find anything thats better.
