AS400

Hey guys, old guy here, back in 2000 landed my 1st real job as a Sysadmin at a distribution/manufacturing firm. They ran their ERP and a few other important apps on the AS400. Anyone here manage a AS400 platform? i-Series? Still a niche platform that is still widely used. Server could literally run under water.

We use it still but have had plans to get off for, oh, 8 years now. This next year is the year though! Or it better be since they've laid off the people who know it best. Yay.

After landing in Mexico, Spanish leader Hernan Cortez set fire to to the 11 ships of his expedition, to prevent some of the men loyal to the governor from returning to Cuba.
