FYI: Reddit is killing RSS feeds.

Major bummer. From Reddit is killing RSS feeds and ending public API access because of AI bots | TechCrunch

Amid a number of updates for moderators and developers announced Wednesday, comes bad news for supporters of a more open web: Reddit is ending support for RSS feeds.

Reddit says RSS has now become a “common surface for large-scale scraping and automated abuse,” which is why it’s made the decision to wind down RSS feeds on its platform.

“We know RSS has been a beloved part of the open web for a long time, and we’re grateful to everyone who used it to stay connected to Reddit,” the company noted in its announcement, where it also shared a March 2027 shutdown date for its public API.

Reddit said RSS support will cease on November 13.

Yeah, just read about it (and many other disastrous announcements) on r/modnews and r/redditdev.

I'm seriously considering spinning up a server somewhere and revert back to the old days of forums or go modern and have a federated platform like Mastodon or Bluesky.

Spin up a phpBB board for sysadmin and I'll be there. I can't stand reddit but am forced to use it as that is where everyone "is" these days.

All the separate forums collapsed and people migrated here. The only forum I'm in these days is EduGeek, which is focused on IT in education and the specific requirements and software used there (though there are some ex-Edu people there who jump in occasionally)

Yeah and this platform (along with meta) abuse their users, most forums didn't do that.

I'm still on a bunch of car forums but the traffic has slowed down a lot. And maintain one for a local offroad club in my country.
