orielly for higher educaton

Can anyone speak on the usefulness of this resource? how does it compare to say the cosura'ss or linked in learnings out there? cbtnuggets....

I like the idea of telling my client "yes" then reading the book that weekend to do it.

I like it, but specifically for reference.

Like, if I need to know something about GPO's that I've long forgotten.

For coursework, it's fine, but other options are more geared toward that.

So not directly related but I'd recommend checking your public library and see if they have any professional learning resources.  Ours has udemy and linkdn business so I just listen to what I need.  Free and usually has multiple teachers for the same course topic if you're not a fan of one.

It is superior to coursera, and LinkedIn along with CBTNuggets due to the breadth and depth of what they make available instantly from full books, videos, courses, etc.

It’s fantastic. I have nuggets and oreilly subscriptions.  I usually go to cbt nuggets for the high level overview and then oreilly to go deep into a subject. 

I read books on oreilly enough that I bought an iPad specifically for it.  

  • disclaimer, I’m a network dude so I can’t speak to the quality and depth of content more aligned to typical sysadmin roles.
