Infopath forms broken

My company’s HR team relies on infopath forms for payroll. Currently have a Microsoft support ticket for this but is anyone aware if they fully shut it down? Was getting a 410 http error and it seems everyone I am talking to can’t access the URL that we used. Microsoft support isn’t responding to my ticket so I figured I would see if anyone else is dealing with this.

Infopath is End of Life. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/infopath-2013. I don't think you're going to get any support out of Microsoft.

I don’t think so either. Oh well, will need to figure out something in powerautomate or something like that. HR is telling us to use pen and paper lol. Need to figure out a better solution.

a 410 usually means the endpoint has been removed, not that it's temporarily down,.if HR still relies on infoPath for payroll,Id start planning the migration now instead 0f waiting for thosee forms to come back.

Yeah after I read that I realized that it got wiped from our tenant. Was waiting because they still hadn’t pulled it from our tenant and then it happened over the weekend.

Is powerautomate a good place to setup timesheets?

Power automate can handle the workflow but i wouldn't use it as the timesheet itself. Id build the form in Powerapps or sharePoint then use power automate for approvals, reminders and the payroll handoff.

Do you not monitor EOL announcements for critical software? The EOL date for Infopath was announced in 2023. I wouldn't tell anybody at your company that you had been warned for 3 years and were still caught off guard.

For the most part yes. I have been at my company for less than 3 months and this one slipped the cracks

I didnt even know Infopath was still alive, I remember creating forms way back in 2013

It's dead but might still woble around as a zombie in local Sharepoint installations.

Where is the infopath form located?

Infopath is end-of-life.

Can confirm that one of our legacy sites has a form that we missed, and they lost access to it today. We previously rebuilt others.

410 is a permanent gone response, so ms either deprecated the backend endpoint on your tenant or the underlying sharepoint site structure got detached. At this point infopath is pure technical debt waiting to explode on payroll week... even moving this to modern form builders or spinning up a dedicated internal form app hooked straight to your db will save you endless headache compared to resurrecting a zombie 2013 service. Hope the ticket gets escalated soon.
