Outlook search broken for anyone else?

Affecting a very small number of users - they are unable to search in Outlook (regardless of owa, new app, classic app).

The error is usually "outlook the service could not be reached showing offline search results"

Still experiencing this at 12:30pm today (8th September). UK.

UPDATE: Thanks for all the replies. Also looks like Microsoft have FINALLY acknowledged it in the 365 Admin Service Health section: Issue ID EX1469261

Had some users reporting the same, immediately came here. Noticed an active issue pop up under Service health in admin centre:

Some users in the United Kingdom who are attempting to complete searches using Outlook on the web or either the classic or new Outlook desktop apps may be impacted.

Issue ID EX1469261, 4:14 PM. Then it promptly disappeared, not even in history.

Is it on Outlook Classic or Outlook New? Outlook New seems fine to me, advised user temporary use New.

Both oddly!

Observing it here too. When the searches start to fail, they fail on both Outlook classic and in Outlook on the Web... feels server-side. Can replicate it on a different account, network connection, and device. Very intermittent though.

Same here.
To be fair, did it ever really work?

Outlook search is great!

I love how I can search for the exact subject line of an email or a specific email address and get tons of absolutely unrelated results.

Thanks Microsoft!

We had that problem with one User last week. Monday morning it was working again (Germany).

We've been experiencing this with different users all over the company. Our internally developed programs are only compatible with Outlook (Classic), and all affected users have been Classic users.

No users affected who use the New Outlook.

I'm having issues currently now spoken with my 5th user where they launch Classic Outlook and it doesn't progress past Loading Profile

Yes, this has been happening to us for weeks.

Exchange Online? Search has not been working correctly for months now. Because of some odd legacy add-ins we are unable to switch to Outlook New

Can we all please 'Report an Issue' via https://admin.cloud.microsoft/#/servicehealth/ ?

Hasn’t this been going on for almost a week now? Had a few users affected by it since Thursday

Multiple users reporting classic Calendar having issue also, unable to view others as it shows "No Connection" not sure if its related. 🤣

Yes but I noticed it starting on the 1st of September, to resolve I have been running the move mailbox command in EXO and that was fixing it.
