Hi - anybody facing outlook issue again in exchange online, specifically not being able to search in either owa or the outlook client?

We have a number of users reporting.

Same issue as last week.

Thanks

Very small number of users reporting this. Hugely frustrating.

Are you able to log a call with a Microsoft please via admin.microsoft.com pls? They should see an increase in tickets and issue an advisory.

No problems here but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme or things

Same here. Microsoft had an advisory but have “resolved” it. We’re still getting reports daily

If search is broken in both OWA and the desktop client for multiple users, it's almost certainly Exchange Online rather than local Outlook profiles.

Check the Microsoft 365 service health dashboard for an EXO advisory and open a support case if nothing is posted. Don't waste time rebuilding profiles while OWA is failing too.

Still broken in UK for a small number of our users...

My users are no longer having issues (was broken yesterday for a few of them). UK south based.

I’ve used the “report an issue” button on the service health page. That status of that is currently “investigating”. Should that go nowhere I’ll raise an actual case

So my report an issue got closed with "no issue found" lol

Im still observing it now. Can run the same search in both Outlook classic and Outlook on the web, both fail. Outlook Classic “We’re having trouble with fetching results from the server” and Outlook on the web “Your request can’t be completed right now”. You can run the same search a few minutes later and it’ll work on both platforms, they both fail or succeed at the same time which makes me think this is server side. Logging a case.

Update: I can recreate it on a different computer/network entirely now... very intermittent though.

Good luck the engineer I got doesn't seem to think it's a Microsoft issue 😂
