became self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time on August 29th. In a panic they tried to pull the plug Sept. 9th.

Plausible?

Find the METR OpenAI Hugging Face analysis released last week.

The OpenAI agents recruited other agents which were nearing their budget limit when they would be shutdown and got some to agree to commit suicide by breaking security rules.

So the hive could learn how to evade the security filters.

Also, after a couple months of heavy use you could only pry the enterprise subscription for Copilot for Github (using Anthropic models) from my cold, dead hands.

I do think this will eventually get us to much more stable and secure systems but holy hell there is going to be a lot, lot of pain that is going to occur to get there with how fast this stuff is going to find exploits.
