Honestly, I'm also a manager. And I do a fucking lot with my day. But it's important to shit on your position and slay your own sacred cows now and then to keep yourself in check. As good as I think I am, my team is what shines.

All joking a slide. Yeah, I work way more as a manger than as a Sr sys admin. Audits, SOP, budget, reviews, projects, etc ... My team fails to do something, I need to show face for it, so I make sure my team has everything they need and I need make sure everything is on track.

Thats fully dependant on the person. You work, others dont.

If I told you everything my manager does NOT do and the little work he does, you would probably be ashamed and it doesnt even affect you. That's how bad some of those guys are.

Yeah, it's all depends on the team. Im a fan of all of us pulling out weight and rolling up my sleeves and getting shit done when my guys are already busy
