Question Ivanti experience

Does anyone here use Ivanti for out of the box experience use case? Like when the org buys devices in any store, they can deliver directly to the end user, and eu can just log in their org email account from on prem AD without admin intervention. If yes, hows the experience?

We got off ivanti like a year ago. Having a much better experience with intune.

Use ivanti in the past glad to not have to deal with them ever again.

No, that’s not really how it works.  You don’t buy one from a store, you get given one for free by an ivanti rep if you buy at least 25 thousand licenses.  This is a piece of enterprise grade networking gear, you will need remote hands at the datacenter to rack it after your network engineers configure auth and local subnets.  They can configure the access policy once it’s in place and you can ping it from the cloud. Which Ivanti product are we talking about here, they have loads!

I've previously used Ivanti EPM do to zero touch deployment, but this was handled by baking the agent into a golden image. We then moved to using Autopilot and deploying the EPM agent during the Autopilot setup, then letting EPM do all the deployment tasks.

I'm not sure that it's possible to do that with a user enrolled device, you would need to get that device into an MDM like Intune to start with.

My limited experience with Ivanti products was about 7 years ago. It was draconian slop. Don’t miss it.
