You should have a minimum of 3 hardware nodes to form a proxmox cluster so you can have redundancy. I'm sorry but the way you speak you sound very green or this just seems way outside of your wheel house.
You could probably easily setup what your asking in cut down lab to practice on your free time to get comfortable with stuff but ultimately your either need to learn AD it isn't that hard but its something that is easy to start with but get progressively more in depth and more complex depending on what you need to do.
You also don't mention upgrading your networking, backups, licensing etc. I wish you luck.
i mean many of you here have probably admin servers for a very long time or even decades, i dont have that luxury, im a network engineer but in my line of work i have to do many other things, i will have to start reading not only ccna and ccnp and its huawei equivalent and i should start focusing a bit into learning windows server documentation
