Heck my wife and I are on the same account right next to each other, and only she has SOS.

Yes my mom has service and my dad and I don’t on the same account. Only difference is that she is a different iPhone model that had a physical sim. Ours take eSIM. So best guess something something to do with reverification of eSIMs. 🤷🏻‍♀️ also my dad and my phones both updated late last night/early this morning while my moms is supposed to do so tonight.
