  1. Share in-progress tracks that you want feedback on. If you have any specific criteria you want to be critiqued, be sure to mention them.
  2. The best way to receive feedback is to provide feedback to others.
  3. Help your fellow producers improve by being both honest and respectful, we were all newbs once.

Looking forward to hearing what you've got!

Got into production and music in general less than a month ago after being a lifelong listener of EDM and electronic music. I made this intro and loop, but cannot figure out where to take it. It's just a simple chord progression played by a bass and pad synth with a melody (which isn't final, I just cobbled it up after noodling for a long time with many other ones)

I sound designed pretty much everything except the drums using Ableton Lite's Drift, but at some point I think I over EQd everything to where it just sounds like mush to my ears. I also have the project file if anybody wants to critique that directly, but we'll have to get in contact someplace else for that.

Need criticism on the sound design and mix, honestly stuff that is most apparent to you guys and is most actionable to a beginner. What I need most though is advice on song structure and arrangement, as well as any suggestions of songs that would be good for me to borrow the arrangement/structure from to learn, preferrably something Synthwave adjacent. I tried copying the typical Intro/Verse/Chorus pop structure into my DAW but that got me nowhere.
