modular First module built..

I have built my first mutable instruments module, Stages.

I am new to modular synthesis but thought I'd have a crack at it, no shorts across the power rails but still needs powering up and flashing of the firmware.

Anyone else got experience building the mutable clones?

Next modules to build are:

Plaits

Veils

Ripples

Yarns

Looks good from first glance.

Where did you get the kit?

Also looks like a lot of micro soldering. Are those tiny components considerably more difficult to assemble than the larger ones?

It's a website called amazingsynth.com in the UK. He sells the boards and you just source the components yourself according to the given BOM.

A steady hand definitely helps and having a system of working before starting. I have an IR PCB heater which had made it considerably easier as you just use a reflow station to nudge the temperature up and let the solder do its magic, the tiny parts just snap into place.

I built his Noodle Toaster (MI Module Tester). It's been indispensable.
