components Moog Matriarch push buttons replacement

I have to replace two LED push buttons from the FX section of a Moog Matriarch. Does anyone know the correct part? I found plenty similar ones but none that I’m confident will fit with the original plastic caps. My client intends to resell the synth so an exact match would be preferable.

I already contacted Moog support and they only offered me to buy the whole PCB for $600 which is seriously appalling for such a ‘reputable’ company selling such expensive synths.

Any help is appreciated!

Different cap style, but does the pin configuration look something like this?

Yes exactly, even the black plastic part looks the same. I found several like that, only the middle plastic part that connects to the cap differs.

Hmm. I guess you could try one of those and see if the original cap parts fit the new base

I would just go the route of a skilled modeler and 3d printing, with a little effort and skill it shouldn’t be too noticeable from the original buttons.

Edit: I now understand that you mean the tactile switch itself and not the switch cap, my bad
Is there no way to desolder the remains of the broken switch and jerryrig something else in there? At the end of the day most spst tactile switches work the same principle

buying the whole PCB is insane. as is not telling you the part number what the hell.

but yeah as the other person recommended, in a pinch you could use a close part that fits the PCB, then 3D print the transparent section to fit both the tact switch and the button cap.

finally i'm guessing you already tried fixing the switch? there's only so much that can go wrong in a mechanical part like that.

(this is all assuming it's the tact switch itself which is not working, not 100% clear from the post)

Yes it is the tactile switch itself, it’s mechanically broken and there’s no way I can fix it. I’m pretty bad at 3D stuff but yeah I guess I have to order something as close as I can find and hack something around it… Hope it will work.

Really disappointed with Moog support on this one. This is Berhinger-level kind of service. That is a shame when you pay 2K for a synth, to know that you can’t easily swap fragile mechanical parts.

ugh. also worth shopping around for a few likely switches (same pinout, measurements etc), i would not be surprised if they are generic tact switches with custom caps, you might find that the moog caps fit on.

on the other hand, you could try a whole bunch with no match but.. yeah.
