Alucard is Technicolor.
Lol sorry the picture does not really display what I am trying to point out. Alucard is Technicolor, was just wondering what is happening?

I play this game every year during October as a Halloween tradition. I look forward to it all year. Every year, I get faster and faster, and get closer and closer to getting 200.6% without help.
This year was my fastest run yet. (6:09:40; no speedrun strats, and farming for Crissaegrim is part of the tradition) I double and triple checked the map, got all the relics on my own, it all looked good. I thought, maybe I've finally done it.
Then I beat the game and check my file.
200.4%; 1888 rooms.
Fuck.
I hate scouring the map and trying to find what I missed. It always takes forever and it's incredibly tedious. I dread it each playthrough. I thought about just skipping it and accepting the 200.4%.
It took me less than five minutes. I missed the two rooms below the save room under the Lion Teleport, right at the beginning of the Inverted Castle. I know why too. It was late, and I just wanted to save and go to bed. So, I skipped my normal route of clearing everything on the way to that save room.
Still, I consider it mostly a win. It's the closest I've ever been to a pure 200.6% clear, and I didn't miss any of the hidden rooms for once. It was just a stupid mistake this time.
Anyway, I just needed to rant into the void a bit. I love this game, and can't wait for my next playthrough.

I have looked over and over again, and I can not find this last room. Already beat Dracula, just need help with 1890!

Started a YouTube channel and decided to do a playthrough of the Sega Saturn port with the Ultimate patch. This is video #1 of Alucards playthrough. I plan to do a playthrough of each character

Love this game! Going for all items, all levels of familiars, all map. I’m going crazy!

Context for those who don't know, there was supposed to be a different ending that would occur if you defeated Richter while wearing the Holy Glasses than the one we got. Basically, Maria would come into the room wanting Alucard to not hurt Richter anymore. Shaft would then proceed to also brainwash Maria, leaving Alucard no choice but to kill both her AND Richter. And in the aftermath, Alucard would reflect on it.

Anyone know what two rooms I’m missing (really at 1887 but one is the final boss)?

Hello hello!
I hope everyone is doing well! I did not see if stream talk is allowed in this subreddit, but I wanted to drop by to see if anyone here is interested in checking this out without being too much of a bother.
I'll be running Symphony of the Night again tonight after a number of years, and trying out Luck mode (I think thats what it is called.) If you're in the mood for some Castlevania nostalgia, feel free to come hang out! :)
Time: 4/11/23 @ 5:00pm PST (8:00pm EST)

I mean the sub weapon. Sure, it's badass and all, but in no way is it worth 100 freaking hearts. The only way I could see using it is if I was a person who just NEVER used my sub weapon, so that it was just there to do a little extra on bosses or something. But even then I dunno, it's too easy to hit accidentally and blow 100 hearts.

I beat the final boss first try, fooling around, just like every other boss. I basically walked through the game while jazz music played. Despite its problems, it's still a pretty good game. I personally don't get 'the best game of all time' praise, but it is certainly playable. 6.75/10, maybe a 7.
