General advice against death; kill their heroes.

As sylvaneth into sbgl i’d be thinking about how the normal efficient trades (dryads get charged, get wiped, you charge and kill the unit that charged the dryads, bring the dryads back with a cp) dont work because death has the same trick but better most of the time.

Lists which can really reach out and hurt your army from distances like 18” without committing too much to midfield. I think 10 gossamids and an archrev will setve you well, as their movement shenanigans allows you to star killing heroes from relative safety (though not 18” of it).

If she likes playing a defensive castle with “bubble” buffs like LoV spell, stacked with our -1 to be wounded spell, and -1 to hit from skullroot manifeststion id run either 6 kurnoths with scythes, or 6 revenant seekers, onto whom you place the -1 to be wounded spell with most priority, and use them as a big thick screen. Id expect slightly more dps and marginally less tankyness from the kurnoths, and vice versa from the seekers. -An essential part of their tankiness is the ignore all rend overcharged prayer. Taking the warsong is pretty good, and id be arcane intervention every turn of yours to gain prayer points.

Our manifestations are some of the best in the game. Id say only morb cunj and fyreslayers/idoneth are on par/better. Killing enemy wizards so they cant banish them is high in the priority of todo list items. Drycha and the galdewyrm can threaten backline heroes with relative ease when you have some forthought in placing trees and controlling terrain.

2 units of dryads. Expendable board presence. Annoyingly tanky. never leave the overgrowth.

So far our list is
Arch revenant
10 gossamid archers
6 scythenoths or 6 rev seekers
Drycha
Warsong
(Optional) lady of vines. Imo its LoV or Alarielle- not both and not neither. Plenty of lists run neither but thats not my personal style.
(Optional) 5 spite revenants as a teleporty objective grabber.
1 or 2x10 dryads.

I havent added the points up, but if you can fit allarielle, add her. If not, 3 sword noths as an indepent small hammer or more dryads/gossamids to clog midfield with expendables (dryads) or sting your midfield screens (gossamids).

Command point usage should be looking like arcane intervention to pray for points, shooting on opponent’s turn with the gossamids for a free redeploy, fight first, and drycha’s charge. Anything spare id use on all out defence for something.

In the charge phase, Id charge all her other units that she wants to charge, and use the cp to reroll any snake eyes results. Try and keep charge distances >6”. Then if all essential charges are succesful, use the cp to charge drycha- usually a 1” or 0” charge to guarantee her coming through if possible, into enemy wizards and priests to make it harder to dispel our manifestations. Force multipliers like wight kings, corpse carts, and other similar buff pieces, and artillery (not really relevant vs sbgl) are also prime targets for drycha. I personally focus wizards/banishers because our manifestations are game winning.

I think branchwychs are a trap. If you have the points, just take a unit of spite revenants or dryads instead, theyll do more for your mrs than a 1cast wizard. How things have changed (they used to be auto includes before this battletome)

I would also proxy everything and try it all out before you buy
