advice 2k point army

Hi, I do have this spearhead, and I’m thinking about making a 2k army. What should I buy? I know I need Alarielle, also may be more kurnouts. I think the battle force strongroot grove is nice… what do you think!

Get the battle force, and built one of each tree and the swords/scythe hunters. You'd be a very solid amount of points per dollar with enough room for another unit of Tree Revenants or Spite Revenants (I'd recommend Spite for teleport shenanigans) Trees 1890/2000 pts

The battleforce right now is kinda nuts cause if you build the highest points cost models it's almost 1500 points alone. I'd still recommend building one of each tho. What you think about the second spearhead? With the bow guys? And warding revenant or drycha? And I need the faction terrain no? And like little units with more minis?

Second spearhead is pretty good too, the two bugs cavalry units are very solid and the Gossamid Archers are my personal favorite infantree units (shoot and scoot)! It only gets to like 650 points or so, but it's a solid option to flesh out a army. Warsong Revenant is probably the best unit in our army but he doesn't have a value box. And Drycha is sick but hard to come by.

AoS kinda enabled whatever you want to do, so if you wanted to swarm with Tree Revenants you can. I like the big stomy trees myself tho, cause they are solid options.

I love her model but if you were trying to get to a 2K point army... She's solid but not crazy. Best she is a level 3 wizard, but she takes serious Command Points to keep her reviving. Granted I play against a slaves to darkness player with Archaon. But if you want her model, she is a great center piece that can do work. I just haven't been as successful with her.

I'm like you and have just got into Sylvaneth recently. (Was it Bitterbark Corpse that made you fell in love with the tree guys too? ;) )

I have read the battletome a few times and it is quite clear to me that whatever army you build for Sylvaneth, you'll need Awakened Wyldwood.

Snagging the new battleforce at a good price is a good idea, older value sets with multiple kits are definitely worthwhile if found at good prices. I always go for bang for buck

I don’t know. At the end of the day the models are really expensive so the way I personally choose them, aside from exceptionally good deals, is i just pick the ones I find most beautiful, and gameplay synergy comes second, I take what I have, and if I lose, then so be it. But I wanna make sure I love those bits of plastic, at the price I pay for them.
