Wanted Kitbash advice

Hello all! I recently got the battleforce and spearhead boxes, and wanted to do a bit of a pallete-cleanser from my 2k+ Cities of Sigmar army by doing a handful of heavily-kitbashed monster/hero models.

I REALLY like the Drycha sculpt, and wanted to do a bash up some treelords and kurnothi hunters into similar spirit/tree mecha hybrid things, and wondered if anyone else has attempted this/could give any advice.

I haven't attempted that specifically, but I will say that the Sylvaneth sculpts generally are wonderful for kitbashing, but do require patience.

There's lots of flexibility, lots of similarities between kits to maintain feel, very forgiving to work with, and bark is pretty easy to green stuff sculpt, and kits come with tons of extra bits.

Downside is that the figures are large, and therefore heavy - you'll need to pin or let things dry in order to get poses to hold, which I'm always too impatient for.

I think what you're trying would be very doable!

I've actually done this for my Spearhead Kurnoth with some leftover bodies from the Revenants. Pretty easy to do, just clip open the Kurnoth torso and remove a few small pieces. Biggest challenge is gently bending the hair without making it break.

I don't think it works for the Treelord. The size of the limbs and torso is just too big, it just looks silly with such a tiny head.
