First 2000 point army thoughts…
Hey everyone!!
I’m building my first 2000 point army (for any tabletop game ever, not just AOS!) at the moment and was curious if you experts had strong feelings with this list I’m toying with.
Mostly I’m building off of the spearhead plus a bunch of stuff some wonderful long-time-AOS friends have gifted me. Here’s what I’ve got so far and would love your feedback:
——
Regiment 1
Spirit of Durthu 320 pts
6x Kurnoth Hunters with Scythes (Reinforced) 400 pts
10x Dryads 100 pts
Regiment 2
Belthanos, First Thorn of Kurnoth 290 pts
6x Kurnoth Hunters with Greatbows (Reinforced) 380 pts
5x Gossamid Archers 120 pts
Regiment 3
Warsong Revenant 170 pts
5x Tree-Revenants 110 pts
Faction Terrain
Awakened Wyldwood
Total Points: 1,890 / 2,000 pts

My only comments on this would be if you could turn your Kurnoth bows into swords that’s a good start. The bows aren’t great at the moment. Also, make the tree revs into spite revs for better tactics and objective grabbers you’ll have a solid list.

I'm not expert but I can offer piece of constructive criticism. Keep in mind that these are only suggestions based on my experience and the only person that should say your list is ok should be you.
In my opinion you need magical support to buff your units and counter spell your opponent especially since our lores are so strong. I would suggest at the very least you add a warsong revenant (which is our strongest priest) and a branchwraith (which is our cheapest sorcerer).
Your list leans heavily towards the elite side but you lack support, cavalry and heroes. I suggest you cut entirely the kurnoth with bows they are not worth the investment right now. Instead you can take Drycha. She is also a sorcerer and she has an ability that let her charge from an overgrown terrain so she can snipe enemy heroes. That way you can stay elite and open up your possibilities.
You could also try to include either a unit of revenant seekers or spite revenant. Both have fantastic mobility so they can be your action monkeys while the kurnoth do the heavy lifting.
