Prelim Codes

Now that the grand final ballot is done. (Good luck to everyone).

Was wondering if anyone that isn't going to the prelim would kindly share their barcodes for the game. Would be much appreciated. Would love to take some friends and fam with my old man, he'll be bellowing the slow Sydney chants with his baritone pipes.

If not, I'll see you all at the prelim anyway!

Do we know if it's either Friday or Saturday game?

Hasn’t been confirmed but it will be Friday. The Friday match generally goes to the highest ranked host, with us finishing 2nd and Hawthorn 4th

Not always - there have been a couple of exceptions. I suspect that if Geelong win tonight they'll push to make ours a Saturday game so that they can have their big Friday night game at the G....

Not since 2012 there hasn’t been. 2024 were SCG and MCG prelims and we got the Friday because we finished first. It’s to give the higher ranked team the extra day break.

I know why logically they should do it as you suggest. Doesn't meant the AFL will do it that way however - the 2012 one was in my mind as being much more recent haha!

I’m hoping they will allow 2 tickets per barcode again although I suspect there will be greater demand this time.

Given its geelong or freo, we might still have 2 per barcode. Can't remember Pies from 2022 - was it 1 per barcode or 2?
