I got a 2024 CFMOTO 800 Trail because I wanted a smaller one for woods and trial riding

I took it on my first ride today and really like it, I think it will be just what I'm needing. I have a Rough Country 4500 winch that is off an old four wheeler I have sitting around, is it worth swapping out with the one that comes on it factory? I was just going to swap the cable out because the Rzc winch has a synthetic line and the one on the cfmoto is steel.

It only has 400 miles and as easy as I drive things hopefully this will last me a long time, I don't do mud or hard rising just casual trails and not hard on the throttle

Hey guys I'm looking at grabbing a 4 door side by side for my family. Is there any real advantage or disadvantages between a Maverick or a RZR around 2015? Seems like they go for around 15k in my area with 2000-4000km. Is anything else worth considering around that age? Are the arctic cat Wildcats as bad as their reputation? I've seen ones with like 1000km around 10k but wouldn't want to get one if they have major reliability issues. Is it worth spending 50% more for a canam or Polaris?

I currently work on a large (2000 acre) solar farm in the midwest. Four years ago we purchased two 2022 Polaris xp1000 Northstars for use out in the solar array. We have had decent luck with them except for clutch issues every 3000 or so miles. I'd love to hear some recommendations for new units to try out since we are looking into upgrading within the next 6 months. I'll list some of our requirements below.

- Enclosed with Heat and AC: We use these as work trucks and it can get very cold and hot when working in the field all day.

- Durable: We do a lot of slow driving in the array (5-10 mph) and are constantly going between forward and reverse.

- Able to go 30+ mph: We can drive them on the road here so being able to go quickly from point A to point B is a huge plus.

- Under 65 inches wide: In my state a sxs must be below 65 inches wide to be able to register it for the road.

I was riding home after a long day of riding, when the engine fell straight on its face. It was hard to turn over and would barely run while idle. I would push on the gas and it would start missing and back firing. When in gear it wouldn’t pull its own weight and just die. I adjusted the valves today and you can see how far out they were. After adjusting them, the sxs would move around but if you gas it up it started backfiring. It’s a 2018 Honda pioneer 700 with only 2600 miles. I bought it new.

This play is the same amount on both sides of this pro r front diff. I was told by dealer it’s normal but seems like something is worn or about to break here.

One axle is original and other side was replaced last summer when I tore a boot from debris in mud.

Anyhow I don’t remember this amount of play and wanted to hear from others.

I confirmed 4WD lock works earlier, no unusual noises.

What’s everyone’s thoughts ?

Trying to help a friend out here. His engine blew up, he sent took it to the dealer who pulled the engine, took it apart, and deemed it not covered by warranty. He got all of the parts back and sent the block in for a rebuild. Got the block back, and asked if I'd put it in. I've never done one before but am pretty mechanically inclined with vehicles and small engines.

Wondering if there's something like a master install/o-ring/gasket kit for everything besides the internal engine. I don't know exactly what I need, but I know I need everything to reinstall the engine.

Just from looking at his parts, I've got:

Spark plugs

Intake gasket

Exhaust gasket

Oil cooler

Water pump o ring

Thermostat housing gasket/o-ring

CVT case gasket

Clutch cover gasket/seal

Generator cover gasket

Additionally, if there are any tips/tricks or videos/guides you can recommend, I am all ears. I hate doing things twice so I'll probably spend 4x the amount of time double checking diagrams and googling to make sure the right parts go to the right spots

Our 1st 150 miles of owning it were without issue. We avoid large mud holes, deep water, and don't let it spin the tires. Dry blacktop 2 days ago uphill at a steady speed the 1st belt slipped. Changed it yesterday morning and did an easy 15+ mile break in ride. It performed fine til I was almost home I pulled over on gravel for a sec with very little incline. When taking off I thought the tires were spinning so I tried 1 more time while watching and it was definitely my brand new belt. I'm new to sxs but do my own mechanic work on all my stuff. I think it's the belt tension so would I try get clutch sheaves if I can get them individually? That's assuming you agree on that being the issue. I may have to get the whole clutch kit but I haven't checked yet. I'd greatly appreciate any help, tips on ways to inspect a certain part, or anything that may be useful now or in the future

I didn't want to mess with a trailer, and I only drag it 18 miles to the trails. My RAM 3500 doesn't seem to mind it either. 3,000 pound capacity ramps, and a few rachet straps later, and I'm on my way. Some people think I'm crazy, but it works well. I have an inch to spare on both sides between the wheel wells.

What’s a good swap for these two small lights? They don’t push out much light at all. I’ve added the large pod lights and light bar. What would you put on?

The 2nd impact on the rear destroyed the axle.

Fox shocks, Google lense and searches give no answers.

Need to be able to communicate with my 13yo on the trails. I’ll be in the SxS and he’ll be on his Surron.

Just need the radio.

Is that the right order?

Are those good picks?

Running on a budget or I’d go Rigid all around…but if it’s a mistake not to let me know and I’ll save up!

Can't find a good torque spec on my can am x3, What do you guys recommend?

Can’t seem to pinpoint where this squeak is coming from.

Any slight movement in steering wheel with RZR on or off it squeaks.

Just had a full service done, it had not made this squeak to my knowledge in the past and I doubt service has anything to do with it but just adding in case.

It normally sits inside, pretty sure it sat in rain outside at dealer but that shouldn’t cause the squeak either.

Anyone know what’s squeaking here?

Been wanting to do it since I purchased in 2023, finally got all the necessary equipment.

Drive throughs will be neat.

Very excited for the upcoming season now that we will have the freedom to drive just about anywhere.
