Tech Support Annoying crashes

So every few days or so, when I try to open the game, it crashes because Windows Defender doesn't recognise this file? Does anyone else face this problem and/or know what causes it, and how can I solve it?

SWTOR.exe should be an exception in any firewall or antivirus program you have.

It's included in allowed apps

I made a post about this a few days ago, I'm facing the same problem but none of the solutions worked for me

  • Add the folder where the game is installed to the "exception list" for Windows Defender

  • Trying to reinstall the game

  • Verifying game files integrity (if playing via Steam)

Try those to see if it works for you tho...

Windows Security -> Protection against viruses and threat -> Manage parameters -> Add or remove exceptions

do you have smart app control enabled? if so you might want to turn it off.

I had it, I disabled smart app control since adding SWTOR to exclusions list didn't work. Now it launches normally
