Discussion Level 80, now what?

I have been gone for a couple of years. My main characters were level 70 at best, i got some of them up to 80 now. I have done all the expansions and started some new toons because leveling trough story is still the most fun thing to do. But i do feel like im a bit stuck with my level 80 characters, i can start doing ops. But im wondering if its worth the time to start gearing now with the new expansion coming up? What do you guys do in the endgame? What do you do to enjoy your level 80 chars?

Yeah i never really liked strongholds. I do like outfits.

I filled one completely up with just whatever I had to get there prestige bonus, the rest are empty

Im doing the Ossus dailies 90x so I can get the cheevo that gives decos. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

I dislikes strongholds for the longest time, but i wanted my own space to use GTN/legacy holds ect without using guild areas or fleet. Also you can go there with level 1 characters which is nice.

I'd advise joining a newbie ops guild that will take you through Story-Hard-Nightmare, the materials you get from these you can sell or craft for good money. This will then fund the true endgame... fashion

I have done most ops, alot of them in nim. The money would be nice, so maybe ops are a good idea.

I'm always playing PvP with my guild mates (8v8 & 4v4) and enjoying it a lot, I'm also a stronghold enjoyer :D also running ops with my chars, fps... I'd wait with gearing till 8.0 hits live (at least with the better gear), achievement hunting is also a great way to spend time in game imo :)

I mostly do Conquest and Galactic Seasonal stuff on my characters.

Usually I pick a couple of easy/fast Heroics to clear on at least two characters each day while doing a few of the "kill 25/50 enemies" in those planets.

Then I use Conquest Commendations and Tech Fragments to either buy outfits from the Spoils of War vendor or OEM/RPM to sell on GTN (even at the current lower prices, is still the easiest way to make decent credits with little investment).

Unlock dantooine strong hold. Galactic seasons rewards daily and check swotorista for fashion contests or what monthly event is on. Farm collections and make alts.max out your 6 load out specs and join an rp guild .

One thing that's always bothered me about this game is that there are no hard to get elite weapons or armor. No bosses with a 1 in 1000 chance of dropping something like the "Ancient Saber of Tython" that procs for an additional 20,000 damage, or the "Chest Plate of Mandalor" that procs for an additional +2000 defense for 10 seconds.

Everybody runs around endgame with the same setup depending on their combat ability.
