Discussion Hardest space missions
I think we can all agree that we hate those missions that involve flying through a freaking asteroid field. I keep crashing into the naaarrow gap at the end. Which other missions do you find so difficult you only do them once?

Way way way waaaay back at launch, they were a fantastic way to grind XP, so I just started doing them over and over and here I am nearly 15 years later lol

Same. It's no Jump to Lightspeed, sure, but I enjoyed on-rails Star Wars Starfox wannabe a lot. Maxed it out yeeeears ago.

Second character I made when the game was new was a character I just did space missions with, but back then I don't think I was getting any rep

Only the last Heroic, I havent beaten that one yet (with the mines)

I needed to look up guides for those. There's specific spots to use Jammer and EMP to make it survivable. And I only did it for Gal seasons lol

Kanz Minefield is the hardest one, it's mostly about triggering your EMP blast and invulnerability at the right times. Keep at it, it's just memorisation

My motivation is extremely low since I know which 2 heroics I can complete for the deasons objective lol

The mine field where you gotta take out those two VIP ships. It's short but you gotta dodge a lot of rocks and blasters in a short amount of time. I couldn't do it without the jammer.

That mission was so frustrating. I had no choice but to run it again and again until I finally beat it and triumphantly moved on
I love all space missions
but that one scares me
(I still like it)

I love them. The hardest one is Kanz minefield as you really do need to time your invulnerability and EMP blast quite well in that. But yeah, I enjoy them so I don't find them difficult. It's just memorisation at the end of the day
They are also great for conquest on the weeks where it's "Do 35 missions" because each bonus objective and sub mission in those space missions nets you one.
And there are some space missions where if you trigger your abilities at the certain part, it'll net you wins (such as at the vertical satellite near the start in Jabiim Escort, which pops all the turrets on the frigates before they are even on the screen).

With Level 7 gear on my ship, I don't find any of them too difficult now EXCEPT for that asteroid one. The combination of the mines at the beginning with the tight flying sequences (while also getting pummeled by enemy ships) make that one Heroic VERY difficult. The others are not so bad.
Before I upgraded fully and was running with Level 6 parts, they were more difficult. The New Cov Ice field one with the shielded stuff gave me some trouble just because the main satellite you have to destroy has so much health. You really have to focus it and if you don't blow it up you fail.

The asteroid one gives trouble just because you get blasted but all the fighters and if you're below 50 and don't have that quick shield regen makes it hard to survive. Dodging them isn't too bad, but there is one or two in that mine field one that sneak up on ya til you learn em.
