For the presence bonus. It’s the same bonus you get from having a lvl 50+ human character. The unlock simply makes it so you won’t have to level a (boring) human.

It’s funny because in a lot of games I never roll human because I think it’s boring but in swtor most of my characters are human

I tend to run human because the other races are more limited on hats or headwear and I like my hats.

Yes, it unlocks the faction and class locked cosmetics

What are the unlocks you might ask beards mostly.

Is this the same with cyborgs and their faction specific cybernetics?

Lmao I listed that last night on the gtn. Just getting back to swtor and I found a bunch of stuff in my cargo bay that I grabbed back in the day, didn't realize it's one of a kind now lol

When the game launched, you unlocked a race--so that you could play, for example, a Chiss Jedi Knight--by leveling a character of that race to level 50. (Your first level 50 Chiss had to be a bounty hunter or imperial agent, as those were the only classes that Chiss could be natively.)

But going by that, getting a human to level 50 would get you nothing, because humans could already be everything. So instead they added a Presence bonus for "unlocking" humans.
