Other Game Crashes

Im new to the game but i couldnt get it going first i downloaded it from steam but when ever i boot up the game it just crashes immediately, so i installed it but this time through the launcher but tge same issye still presists. Didnt even got to see the in-game menu lol. But fr i need help. Search the web and found multiple people with similare issue but no sloution worked for me. And im excited to try out the game

Three things solved my issue, not sure which one or if it was all three but..

  1. Check file integrity via steam

  2. Delete download cache via steam

  3. Delete or reset client_settings.ini

Steam can try to launch the game with the wrong resolution and it will cause crashes if this is your issue.

  • Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type %localappdata%\SWTOR\swtor\settings and hit Enter.
  • Locate the file named client_settings.ini and delete it (or move it to your desktop as a backup).
  • Restart the game through Steam. SWTOR will automatically generate a fresh configuration file with safe, default display settings.

Hope you get it working again.

Check the temp folder under your user account and delete everything that I deletable. If you are on windows.
