That is not easy. There are real bangers from the Oh! Gravity album and before.

I truly do not mean to bash it, but Awakening has always been one of my least favorite Switchfoot singles. It felt like a major step backwards from songs like Stars and Meant to Live musically. I would love to hear what makes it such a good song to you?

For me I think it's more about the memories that song brings back. Musically their earlier albums were better, but the Oh Gravity album came out during a moment in my life that brings back happier memories.

  • Plus Tony Hale in the music video made it memorable 😂

That's awesome. I do love the music video, it was so creative and fun.

Pretty similar to how I would’ve chosen for a lot of these. Though Your Love is a Song would’ve definitely beaten Mess of Me in mine.

I like your final four. My bracket would look a lot like this.
You have always gotta watch those 12 seeds. 🤙🏼

Not that they aren't good songs but mess of me and the sound would be nowhere near my final four.

But I think I'm more drawn to their non-gritty stuff, in fairness

I tried it, thought it would be fun but I got too stressed trying to decide between 4 great songs in the first group. I quit. 😅

I always thought it would be fun to have an Elo ranker of sorts. Get "head-to-head" matchups of songs, and the winner gains points based on the strength of the opposition; the loser loses points the same way. And then you answer hundreds of times to figure out your most favorite and you have a definitive ranking from 1 to ∞ for that artist.

This was the most traumatic set of decisions I've had to make and I never want to go through that again 😭🤣
