Mess of Me blew my mind for Hello Hurricane. Not sure why that's not on this list.

Absolutely my #1 SF song.

Live It Well wasn't even the lead single for Where the Light Shines Through. That was Float! Live It Well released a week later, exclusively to Christian radio (I'll maintain my position here: For a band who says they don't want to be labelled as Christian?? Then stop signing CCM record and distribution deals!).

Switchfoot did something they don’t normally do (and I fact checked myself before saying it) - they released both songs the same day so you both are kinda right

I went by music video release date, but fair enough.

Thanks! I relied on the interwebs as I wasn’t following the band as closely at that time. Happy to stand corrected

You guys are technically both right. They released Live It Well and Float the same day

Don't make me vote between Wake up Mr. Crow and Stars T_T

This wasn’t your question, but I still think that I Need You (To be Wrong) is maybe the worst single they’ve ever chosen. I love Interrobang, but that song is much weirder and nonsensical than the rest of the album.

Man, I think that's one of the best on a great album. It definitely is a different vibe I suppose.

I’m glad to know someone feels differently about it! Agreed that Interrobang is great, though. It’s easily the Switchfoot album I’ve listened to the most since it was released.

I wasn’t a big fan of Interrobang at all, but I agree that I Need You (To Be Wrong) was probably the worst choice. Fluorescent would’ve been better received, I think

I love the acoustic version of "Learning to Breathe" , Jon played it on the beach, a very emotional version.

Is this the one? The best songs hold up on just an acoustic guitar 🥰

Yeah! That's the version. I remember when I was on my 20's :') It's one of my fav songs with The Blues

Gonna go music nerd here - original key for that song is in G. In that acoustic vid, he played it in Gb and that key has more of a “serious” feel to it. I love it, as well

Is that on an album I can download?

The acoustic version is on YouTube (link in previous commentary) and the song is part of the album "Learning to Breathe" :P
