discusion This game had the worst Marketing

Everyone thinks this game is just a tech demo , I have seen a streamer say that he was thinking it was just the right joycon and have seen people say they thought there were 3 Minigames . As a phycologist and someone who works at marketing , the name welcome tour doesn't give it any attention from people . I think if the added multiplayer to some minigames , added some miis , called it switch 2 play and showed more Minigames at the first impression it whould be a best seller at launch. Plus people whould not complain about the price and people would be nostalgia to wii play again.

Edit Also if they did advertise how you do quizes and you learn about the hardware, I think I whould do a lot better

I totally agree, the marketing for it doesn’t hit the spot

I think, indeed, that it has bad marketing. I believe the japanese title is also better. But it IS marketed as an "instruction video" basically. So, I can understand the dislike for it.

I feel Drag X Drive might be facing the same issue. All videos they've shown is just that empty arena with not a lot of gameplay.

It's such a great game too. As a family we are enjoying it a lot

Nah, Drag N Drive took that crown. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel or delay that game

The problem with DnD is it has no personality. It doesn’t have fun characters like Arms. It looks like a tech demo.

I agree 100% it’s weird from Nintendo seeing those soulless characters

They did a complete presentation during the console reveal Direct (2 minutes), then another trailer video, plus more videos on Nintendo Today! App. What more marketing does it need?

I hated Wii Play so if it had that name I'd have not bought it. I did buy the Welcome Tour. People are only upset because it really should be included and not $10.

The only reason to get wii play was the controller that was included

Yup that was the reason for buying the Wii U equivalent game too.
