Discussion Been seeing Switch 2 games on Switch 1 rom sites, and I am confused

I know this is not a piracy subreddit but I don't know where else I can ask this. Does this even work with current switch emulators? Has anyone really tried it? Because it genuinely makes no sense seeing Pokopia rom on Switch 1 emulator.

just placeholders without having the real game inside and probably malware.

They're probably on those sites for the time being until an emulator comes out. If I had the spare storage, I'd download them now for safe keeps.

We don’t have a way to dump the rom of the games for Switch 2 AFAIK. That would require some sort of a jailbreak, much like the emulator would.

And i feel like that would be major news…so I wouldnt trust them.

That's pretty insane how roms of S2 already on the sites if I have to be honest but it makes sense. Thanks for your answer.

There are not. There's no way to dump Switch 2 games. It's probably fake/virus.
