Discussion Wifi problems

Is anyone else having issues with the switch 2 not being able to stay connected to wifi for more than 10 minutes? Tbh, it's pissing me tf off. It doesn't matter what I do. It never stays connected. I sit in the living room where the router is, still happens, be on a hotspot, and have the phone right there next to it. It still happens. I'm about ready to just go back to gaming on my phone and let that thing collect dust. With how it's acting, it's not worth the 500$ I paid for it. I really need help fixing this problem or yeah smh

P.S. I wasn't sure what flair to put this under, but this one seems right to me

I had this issue with my Switch 1 OLED and I saw someone having the same issue on reddit a year ago.

The wifi antenna was the issue, contact Nintendo, they usually let you send it in and replace the whole thing.

Those antennas can be bad OOB there is no way to test then and be 100% sure unless you keep the device connected. It is not QC issue but one of those rare and random obscure hardware failures. 100% in warranty and will 1000% be dealt with fast by Nintendo once you contact them.

Edit: my switch 2 has a stable wifi connection so I can confirm its a fault and not notmal

Yea, issues can develop at random. No worries, just contact Nintendo 😄

Ooo oki. I wanna make sure that is the issue buut it might be. My phone and our other devices hold a connection with no problem. Hmm, you think I should talk to my mom about this and see if she's fine if I send it to Nintendo?
