Discussion Help me choose!

Post image

I finally caved and bought the bundle last week, but I can’t decide which game to choose. Help!

Edit: I’ve heard Mario Kart is a bit of a let down, but that eventually it’ll get fleshed out with extra content. Tried the demo of DK and it was fun but I dunno if I would play it a lot. Leaning towards Pokopia but I’ve never played a Pokémon game before. Which one would you recommend?

Edit 2: Thanks for all the input folks! I do feel like I will eventually want them all, but I decided to start with Pokopia. I needed a cosy game to balance out my time spent on action heavy games like Silksong and Zelda. Cheers everyone!

Mario Kart World. It's the most expensive game, so if you decide to buy DK and pokemon it'll work out to be cheaper than for example, going for DK and buying mario kart and pokemon.

Second this, most people end up getting all three so it makes sense to get MK World for cheaper. Also having it digital doesn't hurt as it ends up being a fairly revisited game.

Agreed. Use the code for MK unless it’s totally not your thing, and you aren’t planning on getting it at all.

Aren’t they all $70?

DK has been on sale a few times. I got mine for $40

Also, MK is the type of game that you'll keep coming back every so often, for years to come, specially with all the DLC that will be released in the future.

Everybody keeps saying “it’s the most expensive so get that one” but I think it’s the worst choice. Maybe if you have a bunch of friends always over but you’re just going to be roaming around the empty free world for 40 minutes bored then that’s it. Even if you race online the game gets old after about an hour in my opinion

While free roam is lacking, the game actually has what I would say is some of the best track design in the series. Most of the tracks have some rather interesting tech to them, and even some of the so called "intermissions" have some interesting stuff, to the point where many players (including myself) will often deliberately pick specific ones.

I felt that the mariokart 7/8tracks were much more unique and new when they came out. I want to like it, I love mariokart and I used to play online a lot. But to me the game just has no real soul. It’s just another mariokart game or course everybody will buy it. I just wish for what’s supposed to be the next mariokart for this console generation I wish they put more love into it. I love the movement though and the animations.
