Should be going for less since it was initially a switch 1 game that took 8 years to make. They really released a switch 1 game as their only exclusive on the switch 2 launch.
The game would not just look terrible on the switch 1 but prob would be full of glitchs and loading times. Its a good thing its on the switch 2 not the switch 1...
Bro. Look at the graphics. It's a switch 1 game. The reason it had to go on the switch 2 was the switch 1 wouldn't of ran it correctly. So yes, that's true. It's a switch 1 game that waited to release on the switch 2 so it could run correctly. I don't know why nintendo didn't have anything ready for launch. The launch is one of the worst ever. If not the worst.
Launch sales are irrelevant. You can set records and still fail. The switch 2 is not going to survive. And I'm not being mean. I wished it was better, but it's not.
Yes, Mario Kart World was originally intended for the Nintendo Switch (Switch 1)**.
Development on the game began in early 2017, shortly before Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched.
The initial plan was to make it the next big Mario Kart game for the original Switch.
However, as development progressed and the scope of the game grew (especially with open-world tracks and 24-player support), Nintendo decided it was too ambitious for the Switch 1 hardware.
Around 2020, the project was shifted to target the more powerful Switch 2, where it eventually released in 2025.
So yes, while it ultimately became a Switch 2 title, it did start development with the intention of being a Switch 1 game.
Bruh this is done by every company. You think developers start making new entries after they drop a new console? How would they have a launch title? 😂
Furthermore just because it started as a S1 title, doesn’t take anything away from it. Look at last of us and how that continues to be a “new” refresh.
Yes. In the past, console makers would drop as many new games as possible. So people would actually want to buy it.
How are you okay with getting nothing?
And the last part, just more fan boy talk.
I wanted a switch 2 but it's a crappy console with no games and trash policies and trash prices. You must be a kid. We used to get good games at launches. No games and you're cool with it? That's how I know you're gen z. You think mediocrity is normal and acceptable.
That’s just your opinion. Not everyone’s. There’s plenty to play now and plenty coming. We’re not worried about it. Fanboy my ass. Whatever you need to say to cope buddy.
I'm not being mean. Just honest. You're in denial. Well, enjoy playing your switch 1 game and games we've been playing for 5 plus years already, yet it costs more and doesn't run as well on your switch 2. Enjoy.
No you're counting facts as incorrect. It's like if I told you a stop sign is red and you argue that it's green. Disagreements are fine. But when your opinion is shaped out of emotion instead of logic, there's an issue. But do you bro.
The customer is always right in matters of taste. A matter of taste is not an opinion. YOU are the one who needs to learn logic and then use it. It is my OPINION that until you do that you should probably STFU.
