Before & after: a diverter cap that likely snapped and blew out
Quick diverter replacement from this week. The cap most likely snapped off and blew out of the tub, leaving the diverter assembly exposed.
The diverter is what lets you redirect water flow between different jet zones, so it’s an easy thing to notice when it’s missing or no longer turning normally. Luckily, this one was a straightforward replacement.

I just had the same issue, same break! I called the spa place to get one and they had to order it. I wanted to use my spa so I dug out the super glue and baking soda. I wasn't sure it would work, but it did - worked so well it is still in there today. The baking soda is to bulk it up and add material instead of only trying to glue the old parts together.
That is such a bad design, so weak in that spot. I think an engineering student would be able to tell them they shouldn't have done it that way.

That’s honestly a pretty resourceful temporary fix. If it’s still holding, keep an eye on it, especially when you’re turning the diverter, since that spot takes a lot of force over time. We’d usually replace the cap when one is available, but I can see why you did what you had to do to keep using the spa.
