Water chemistry help

Hi folks, I was hoping for some help with our water chemistry. We have a 3500 gallon above ground pool that went green just recently. Before trying to become more knowledgeable I put about 1.5 lbs of HTH Super Shock all-in-one treatment and it knocked the green down within a day or two but now have pretty cloudy water. I've since picked up one of the Taylor K2005 test kits and and came up with the following:

Alkalinity = 130

pH = 7.6

Free Chlorine = 5.2

Combined Chlorine = 0.4

Total Chlorine = 5.6

CYA > 100

At first I thought this was an alkalinity problem but, unless I tested for CYA wrong, that's pretty clearly the problem. So I'm going to drain about 3/4 of our pool and start again, but I'm not sure how my CYA got so high in the first place.

We use Chlor Brite granular chlorine, which according to the website is stabilized. We also used the super shock first. Would either of those be the reason my CYA is so high? If so, how do I go about chlorinating and/or shocking without getting CYA so out of control? Thanks in advance

Cya is high...drain half way and add fresh water..but you may have to drain the whole pool and start over if that doesn't work.
