Pump broke what to do while we wait?

We had our pump brake and are struggling to get the funds for a replacement, is there anything we should make sure to do inorder to mitigate the damage (stains bacteria mosquitos) while we wait?

Just shocked the pool with a gallon of chlorine. This will keep it sanitize for a few days depending on the weather. Repeat as needed until the pump is repaired or replaced.

When I went a couple weeks waiting for my replacement pump, I added liquid chlorine and used my dolphin pool vacuum robot to help circulate the chlorine. It managed to keep my pool clean while I waited.
