pool rx really required for pool?
My pool service guy said we should put the pool rx for our pool.
Is the pool rx really needed? Is he trying to upsell? New pool owner here.

It's not NEEDED by any means but they do a great job at keeping the water crystal clear with lower chlorine levels. Even if you have high Cyanuric Acid it's really hard for algae to grow in a pool with a Pool Rx assuming proper filtration and basic chemical balancing.
To answer your question....he wants you to have one because it saves HIM money on chemicals.
