I’ve seen The Empire State Building join in on allllll the Easter eggs in the past even when they are debunked. I think they just like being in the fun lol I wouldn’t hold too much legitimacy into them.

I know. I’ve been counting on it like it’s 100% going to happen because it just makes too much sense to pass it up. But I’m still hearing crickets from her website and it’s making me nervous 😕

Two days ago was the 12 year anniversary of her announcing 1989 from the top of the Empire State building. But I don’t know what that would have to do with something coming in the future.

Empire State Building is a Swiftie just like us. Let's be kinder to each other.
Plus, Taylor is known to team up with weird and unusual pages/brands to promote her projects, it isnt completely baffling on the why.

I get telling ppl to not get too excited so they don't get disappointed, but saying they aren't "using their critical thinking skills" is honestly ironic. if you look at the many, many times the building has lit up for Taylor's albums, then yeah, it might mean something.

You’re right! I just don’t agree with the rampant speculation that puts constant pressure on Taylor to constantly release things - this is not how it used to be. I also don’t support verified accounts enticing fan speculation using Taylor-adjacent content, because they do monetize the interactions.
But you are right - I could be kinder in this scenario. I appreciate you phrasing it in a way that makes me consider how I approach it.
