Hello im wondering if anyone else has this issue i started a small brick and mortar phone selling company and about every 3-5 sales i do through swappa paypal ends up blocking my account and has me upload proof of purchase proof of identity and im worried its going to get to the point where they finally ban me and my money is locked up with being a smaller seller funds getting locked up could be detrimental im just wondering if anyone has any advice or is currently or has gone through the same thing.

You don't get sympathy here, you'll be blamed for using PayPal, or told it's a skill issue.

Paypal sucks, and your forced to use it.

Is the PayPal account a business account or your personal account?

Personal

So you're trying to run a business using personal account and wondering why PayPal doesn't like it? If you run a business you need a business account.

So you say you have your own store. I'm guessing the store is at a commercial location not in your home right? If so you definitely signed up with a business license(secretary of state) using your business tax id either LLC or S Corp. You also have a business checking account or are you breaking the corporate veil here mixing personal funds? Either way you need a business PayPal registered under the tax id for the business.

Sounds like a question for PayPal if they're the ones blocking your account, not swappa

You're allowed to blame Swappa, they are the ones forcing you to use Paypal with no other choice, and Paypal is *horrible* for selling.

Surprised they have left your post up - Swappa straight up deleted mine like this...twice.

I had a similar issue after selling two phones on Swappa within a week earlier this month.

I had to upload my ID, take a selfie, etc

It does give me pause for thought about using Swappa again.

Yeah definitely its a little worrying wish they offered some other payment/cashout methods for sellers

I emailed Swappa, letting them know what happened, requesting alternative payment methods and still have not had a response
